Stay tuned for our posts about the day - an awesome menu designed by Chef Tawnya Bahr and her special helper Ethan. Includes organic, free range chicken chipolata (which means small thin sausage) from the super sausage maker Tim Gorman from Butchers Delight plus our nearly famous Tukka Boxes with hummus, edamame, date, tomato, cheese and gluten free crackers. We wave goodbye to winter with a roasted sweet potato, carrot & garlic soup with a ham & cheese toasty on the side. (Yum).
What a blast.... started with a stormy day that looked like it was settling in then low and behold the sun came out and we were feeding the hungry. We added a special mini bacon and egg roll to the menu (only $3.00) and some watermelon and bliss-balls. We fed the patrol from North Palmy SLSC (pic below) who had to close the beach due to a bad rip... hmmm maybe that's why we were busy!
Didn't even have time to take many pictures but yes, we met another doggy called Jack - same breed as our doggy Dan (aka Tukka the Stumpy Tailed Cattle dog who LOVES to eat watermelon skin).
Our very first gig at North Sydney Markets was great and we met such a lovely bunch of people, kids and furry friends (on Valentines Day). We were tucked away toward the church side near the bric-a-brac, but sweeeeeetly beside the honey and spices! TukkaBoxes were popular and so were our mini-burgers. Big hugs & thanks to Demi who was a star!
The Snack Van has been supporting the amazing team at Go Series who host triathlons and duathlons for kids at Manly Dam. We get there real early and cook them a big breakfast (for the hungry ones) or just offer a little nibble of something tasty to put back some of that energy they've used up running, swimming and riding.
